While not trying to diminish the importance of conditions such as anorexia which affect millions all over the world it seems like some individuals in an attempt to scare people took things too a bit far. The fashion industry is guilty of the way it presents unnaturally underweight women as the normal giving women all over the world an unnatural ideal of beauty. We’ve seen the following images being distributed on Facebook and via e-mail recently, showing super skinny fashion models trying to highlight this important issue. At the same time they are also deceiving because as it turns out no girls were harmed taking these photos but only pixels.
